Michelle has been involved in sports from a very young age.
She started with swimming, shortly after took up gymnastics & softball and as a young teen she decided to trade gymnastics for figure skating. In high school Michelle added diving to the list of sports. She has always enjoyed learning new skills and competing and after high school she attended West Virginia University and majored in Exercise Physiology.
After completing a Master’s Degree in Cell & Molecular Biology, Michelle settled in South Jersey and started a family. Bored with the “regular” gyms, she wanted a more challenging and social atmosphere. In 2011 she walked into CrossFit Off The Grid to try this new “CrossFit” thing and was instantly hooked. The workouts were different, the trainers were helpful and she loved the feeling of accomplishment after each workout.
Over the years Michelle has competed both at competitions held at CrossFit and in numerous local competitions including: CrossFit, Olympic weightlifting, Triathlons & Spartan races. In the future she is very interested in more Olympic Lifting competitions & experience. Recently she completed her CrossFit L1 and is looking forward to helping others on their fitness journey!
