Spring Running Club @ CrossFit Off the Grid begins April 2nd!

The CrossFit Open 2017 is now upon us and we know everyone is going to kill it each and every week! The Open is often something people use as a goal to increase their performance, strength, and conditioning.

At CrossFit Off the Grid, we love seeing you guys set and reach your goals! With that said, CrossFit Off the Grid members have been participating in the Step Up for The Arc 5k for the past few years. We would like to continue this tradition. Beginning on April 2nd, we will be starting a six (6) week running program/club for interested members. While The Arc 5k will be a milestone, participation in that run is not required in order to be a part of the running program/club. We welcome and encourage all of our members who want to improve their running performance to join each week!

Here are the details:

When: Every week on Sunday at 9:00 am beginning April 2nd and concluding May 7th

Where: Williamstown High School Track (for the running club + The Arc 5k)

Who: Anyone interested in running with the goal of The Arc 5k as their goal, or just wanting to run/walk with friends on a Sunday. Coach Matt will lead the program!

What you’ll need: A smartwatch or smartphone to be able to do some time/distance tracking (your iPhone will suffice!)

The Arc 5k: May 13th at Williamstown High School, register here: https://runsignup.com/Race/NJ/Williamstown/StepUpforTheArc5kRun

Coach Matt Mazzoni will lead this program, which will be FREE for CrossFit Off the Grid members (there is a $20 fee for the Arc 5k registration). Additionally, the programming will be available on Wodify  on Sundays for those who need to miss any of the dates, or for those who simply cannot make it to the track on Sundays. There will also be scaled versions of the runs if you’re just getting started or looking for a “lighter” workout.

Keep in mind that you are Not required to sign up for The Arc 5k, the event is a goal to keep everyone motivated but in no way required. All proceeds from the Arc 5k benefit The Arc Gloucester’s Camp Sun ‘N Fun, a residential camp for children and adults with intellectual and related developmental disabilities.

Come out and run with us this spring! Thanks for your participation and we are excited to continue to offer you fun fitness-inspired events and programs! Contact Coach Matt or Coach Kate if you have any questions – [email protected]
