Today started a new year of training. We will begin this training block focusing on back squat, strict press, and snatch. This block will cover 12 weeks. These lifts will be the focus, but this does not mean we won’t continue to develop all of the lifts and skills that are a part of CrossFit. Gymnastics progressions will continue to be a weekly challenge and we really hope you guys can work towards that first pull-up or toes to bar. During this block, I want you guys to think about having a stripped down mentality with all of the lists and skills we will be attacking. We will be resetting and reinforcing the basics that we always preach. Let’s take this time to test where we are at and realize that without proper technique and consistency in these movements, we aren’t creating the base needed to progress in the manner we are looking to. It is a new training year so let’s get ready and have a blast while doing it!
