Let’s talk about the stress bucket!
There are all types of stressors in our lives. Some are good, like a great workout. Other stressors are negative like a disagreement with your boss or a looming deadline.
Everyone’s bucket is a different size so we can handle different amounts of stress. If we sleep extremely well, eat an exceptional diet, exercise for health, and have little life stress we can most likely take on a lot of stress!
If we don’t get enough sleep due to life or family, eat a less than optimal diet, workout too hard or live a sedentary life, or have tons of work/ life stress any more stress could cause the bucket to overflow!
All of these things tie into how we perform in our workouts AND how easy it is to eat healthy. If we are overly stressed our body can not perform well and we will crave processed foods.
The first step to stress management is awareness!
